We are pleased to announce another decrease in our steel pail prices for 2024, driven by continued reductions in cold-rolled steel costs and shifts in market demand. Your sales manager will contact you shortly with new pricing for Q4 2024.
This price adjustment will take effect for all orders shipped on or after October 1st, 2024, and will remain in place through the end of 2024. Orders placed before this price announcement will have their prices decreased retroactively!Â

Here’s a brief overview of the current situation:
- Price Updates: Cold-rolled steel prices increased by $25 per short ton week-over-week, reaching $945 a short ton, an eight-week high.
- Market Factors: Lower demand from buyers was partially offset by planned mill outages in the fall, contributing to the recent price fluctuations.
- Outlook: SMU’s price momentum indicator for cold-rolled steel remains high, suggesting prices are expected to rise over the next 30 days.
- Lead Times: Cold-rolled lead times range from 5-9 weeks, with an average of 7.0 weeks, according to the latest survey.
